Phil brings multi-industry experience to Brimstone’s clients, combining this practical executive-level business experience with a curious coaching mindset. He has a uniquely authentic approach to inspiring others and is recognized as a ”leadership anomaly” by teammates. His leadership development coaching is infused with personal stories from 10+ years as a Fortune 100 executive, another decade consulting for dozens of global companies, and 15 years in hands-on operational roles in the biotechnology industry. 

Before coming to Brimstone, Phil was an executive leader of data & analytics for financial services firm USAA. Prior to this he was leader of global sales and operations planning (S&OP) for Microsoft’s XBOX supply chain operations division, and later directed their commercial software product, pricing, and release programs. He has deep field consulting experience with BlueYonder (JDA/Manugistics) helping global companies solve their demand planning and supply chain challenges. Among his clients were Timberland, Kraft Foods, JC Penney, Mitsubishi, Defense Logistics Agency, and Canadian Tire. 

Phil is also an ICF Certified Coach (ACC), is Hogan Assessments Certified, and currently brings his coaching skills to clients such as Google, Chevron, T-Mobile, Boeing, and Ansys. With his diverse and extensive background, he is particularly impactful solving challenges around:

Phil earned an MBA in Operations Research from the University of Maryland and a BS in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University. He is a native of the Washington, DC area, loved his decade in the Pacific Northwest, and currently lives with his wife in San Antonio, Texas.
