Hans brings over three decades of leadership experience in business, academia, and the military to the work he does helping clients develop leaders and drive change in their organizations. At Brimstone, he has co-led an engagement with General Dynamics that focused on building a dynamic international business development course, and has worked on change management engagements with Express Scripts, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Waste Management and others. In addition to the work he does with Brimstone, Hans is the executive director of the Center for Digital Strategies and an adjunct associate professor of business at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He leads the center’s outreach and partnership efforts, and has built relationships with companies such as Chevron, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Eastman Chemical, Eaton, Hilti, Swarovski, and Volkswagen. In this role, Hans focuses on the enabling role of digital technology, the role of the CIO, and organizational change and enterprise digital transformation.
Hans holds an AM from Harvard University and a BS in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He is also an alum of the University of Michigan Business School’s Global Leadership Program. Hans is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Council on the Future of IT Software and Services, and a judge of the Annual CIO 100 Awards. He lives in Vermont and has three grown children at or graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
