Andy Zembower
Andy is a former aerospace and defense executive who began as an electrical and systems engineer and progressed in his career through project management, business development, general management, and executive leadership. Andy’s nearly five decades of experience in the intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) and cybersecurity markets equipped him with vast technology and customer experiences that have shaped his career. In the early part of Andy’s career he was focused on applications of microwave and electro-optics technologies to solve military problems. When Veridian was acquired by Geneal Dynamics Advanced Information Systems he quickly moved into management positions. He has held Vice President positions at General Dynamics Mission Systems leading $500M – $600M business units in the ISR and cybersecurity markets. Additionally, he has a wealth of corporate-level business development experience identifying, pursuing and positioning to win hundreds of large new strategic contracts in various federal markets. He was instrumental in developing many of the tools and methods used across General Dynamics Mission Systems. He played key roles in various acquisitions and divestitures in the past 15 years. He also led the largest business integration (involving 35,000 employees and a dozen major enterprise systems) in the history of General Dynamics when GDIT acquired CSRA.
Andy has been a lifelong leader in men’s gymnastics in the U.S. He is a member of the National Gymnastics Judges Hall of Fame. When he is not sharing his experiences to develop others and building good leaders, he enjoys traveling the world with his wife Linda. He and his wife dedicate much of their spare time to Crossroads Connection – a non-profit that addresses food insecurity in their local community schools.
Andy graduated from Youngstown State with a BSEE degree and the University of Dayton with a Master’s degree in Engineering Management. He lives in northern Virginia outside of Washington, D.C.
